We had an explosion with neighbor power lines grounding on trees…naturally, I was on a break from work vacuuming water up from the basement floor because our furnace is broken and had started dumping water on it.  I was using the Shopvac and lights flickered and the vacuum turned on and off, I thought I was a dead goose!  I screamed bloody murder and my legs flailed in the air as I threw down the vacuum and ran upstairs…the power went on and off and then we heard an explosion!  All I could think was I’m never going into the basement ever again!  I glanced out the windows and saw ALL neighbors running to the road…my shadow and I became instant lemmings and also ran out to the road.   We were met with a power company pulling up, a Sheriff, Firefighters, and eventually WE energizes.   The power was off for about a half hour.  We finally got to meet our newer neighbors…
