Bellatori Sunday

The day began at 9am…I was insanely tired from the prior day! I forced myself out of bed and went directly to the shower for early prevention stretching. It was odd, nothing hurt or was tight. Slowly, I went to the kitchen and prepared my massive Breakfast…double the guts on the wrap!

Boy, oh boy, I love long run Sunday! I can eat fancy stuff and don’t have to freat. Naturally, I reached for Bellavitano. As I cooked my double the guts cauliflower riced vegetables, and 3 organic egg whites, I shredded the glorious vitano from large to itty bitty flakes on my 4 sided stainless shredder. Seriously, it was therapeutic in knowing the day ahead. I had 1.5 ounces on that baby!

I wanted to eat with the boys so I rushed to align with the Bossman’s Breakfast completion…not an easy task.

Oddly, we finished cooking at the same time and the Fluffy One watched in anticipation. He didn’t get anything but was reinvigorated to continue his smiling and begging routine.

It was tough to focus but I was determined to perform the Sunday long run. I put the excessively long treadmill board down and started looking for a heist movie. I found one and remained determined to stick to the task. Somehow, I did it…60 minutes of running equated to 7 miles. Miracles do happen! I went for the Thai Chicken of the Sea, pickled peppers and dry cauliflower mix…yum!

Then, it was back to work on Memorial Day weekend. I wanted to join my boy for swimming in the lake but allowed him freedom to figure that out on his own with his new skills learned on socializing from Unspeakable.

As I munched on Bit O Honey’s, I reviewed directions on the green house. It was technical, really technical… I got the big guns out= power tools! I setup 3 different drills and started charging all those not charged. I spent 1 hour preparing and organizing the parts to make it easier to setup.

After 2 hrs, I had almost nothing but staging completed. We had pals due to visit and I put the project on hold and put it all away in our crappy garage.

We hadn’t had a visit from our buddies in months. It was a treat!

The Bossman came home bearing loads of fresh Johnsonville brats and went to work at the grill. Our buddies came with watermelon, and fruits and veggies! I was perplexed, do I attempt my bizarre diet or nibble? I went with neither.. Wisconsin normal included brats and LOTs of cheese! I made a cheese tray- 2 types- Ghost Pepper/ Aged Cheddar- guess what had the most interest? Ghost Pepper!!Naturally, we finished the package and it didn’t need to keep me up at night wanting to finish it.

The kids decided to go fishing and caught an enormous Large Mouth Bass, over 2 ft long. They were not interested in eating anymore. The 4 parents were by the house wanting to eat and 3 kids laughing and screaming by the lake, enamored by the big Mama.

At long last, we gave in and let them wait. We sampled Beer Brats, Normal Brats, Hebrew Dogs and of course, more cheese.

The kids continued to fuss over the Bass that was captured in a massive bucket and eventually it was sneaky and jumped back into the lake! They found that she was determined to guard her eggs! The kids found her nest right next to our pier! That turned into more laughter and screaming…the cheese nearly disappeared!

My buddy and I hopped into our tandem kayak and went for 2 laps around the lake while the kiddos let that fish thought go and hopped on the Trampoline.

Then, the Bossman took a lap in the kayak after us, in record time with my Buddy’s hubby. Yep, half the times of the ladies and it was time for marshmallows, and bonfire stories.

Days like this were therapeutic…Projects and working long hours are balanced by good company. Cheese, Bass, Babies… We look forward to more moments like this!
