Chunnels Done!

So, we have enjoyed rearing baby chicks in the Covid lockdown. When the current set rehomes, we will tick the 23 chick mark!

Anyhow, we saw chunnels online and had to repeat that idea at our place.

After the gardens, weed screens and drip lines were in, it was time to upgrade the Chicken rearing setup.

I went to my 2nd favorite store, Fleet Farm, and bought super strong mesh. I heard the worst stories of exile from varmets…nothing but the best for our babies!

I bought the best that I could afford…

Then, I went to work …after the day-job work day ended…I reached for my favorite needle nose which included a blue handle, and the fence wire. I cut foot long sections of wire and weaved them into the short ends of the fence. Admittedly, it was hard work. I broke it down into 4 work sessions of about 15 minutes each, to save myself from becoming soar.

The kindergarten girls were ready to check it out.

I found an old Rubbermaid container and created a brooder.
